My new book is on its way to the printer! Here is the cover.

I took this project on after Dave Veith passed away in 2024. He had shared the book with me and I had agreed to help revise it and get it ready for publication, although I wasn’t expecting to take over the project, as I ended up doing. Now at last the revisions, and a few additions, are done and it is ready for publication.

The book is edited by Josie Reifschneider-Smith and she is responsible for the cover and the layout of the book. I think she has done a fantastic job and made it look way better than I ever could have.

The back cover photo is by my husband Jim, who took it on a drizzly December evening after a holiday event in the Mansion. I’ve always liked that picture and I’m glad that Josie chose it for the back cover. I am not sure who did the front cover photo, but the information will be in the book.

We expect to have copies available in December. The book launch party will take place at the Chico History Museum on Sunday, December 6th, 4-6 p.m. I hope you can come!
