It’s John Bidwell’s 200th birthday and you are all invited to a free event at Bidwell Mansion on Sunday, August 4th from 4 to 6 p.m. Fun for all!

You might consider donating those papers to Chico State Library Special Collections. They have a lot of material on Bidwell’s business dealings. What was the family name? I’m curious if I have seen it.
Sorry I’m still learning on computers and I just found this..the family names are Benjamin Brown also known as B.B.???..And he changed his name to George Eagleton halfway through his life..((.long story)). His wife was a Dr woman and very well liked for a time I suppose, she was ElRay Brown . He had two daughters .Luella Brown.Laura Brown.he had a brother named James Brown who retired as a barber in Chico . His Son is William Eagleton…and his wife was Lydia Mae Harvey .Eagleton…I’m the fourth Eagleton generation ….in my family .
