Just watched the Spaling Grove clip. Very interesting reminder about John Bidwell’s somewhat forced trip west. Guess it is one time it turned out to be a good thing someone jumped a land claim.
I remember attending a OCTA meeting that held in Chico, think about 2000 or so. There were several very interesting presentations. Remember it as a very fun time to lean about trail history. Need to plan to watch some of the other videos.
